my first go at PP after some online research, subject is my little brother taken with a 350D with kit lense

came out okay but id want some texture on his face so he dont end up lookin like a girl with smoooth skin. still great try!

Better then my first try with photoshop. Would also rotate so the building in the background is straight/straighter.

Maybe try the shadow/highlight tool to bring out a little detail in his hair and left eye. Dodging might help on the eye too.

id guess clone brush using channels. Id add another layer and apply some noise. might help.

I think you did a very nice job. Not sure how successful you'd be in getting rid of the fence but you could try I guess. You could also try a B&W conversion and some noise (as was suggested above). Might give you a cool effect.

I'm sorry but there is hardly a difference between the original and the post processing attempt. So does this mean the original doesn't need work? (my vote) or the processing attempt was far too weak?
