I'd be curious to see how it looks like! I've seen 3200 and lower but can someone please post your photos at 6400 ISO?

Croasdail making stuff up ![]() More info | Jun 01, 2007 13:15 | #5 Wow Tommy.... that is a boat load of noise in the sample you posted. Don't get me wrong, having it at your disposal is a good thing, and when you reduce the heck out of the image for web, it looks pretty good. But my expectations were that it wouldn't be quit that pronounced. Oh well... it is still coop to have the option need be. And thanks Tommy for making the original available.

![]() How come these other two shots seem to have a lot lower noise at 6400 than Tommy's? https://photography-on-the.net …p?p=2962090&postcount=534

I have not run mine through noise reduction software. If you look in the thread Ilinked and check the fullsize Grizzy posted you can see it can be cleaned up very nicely. Because they have been dramatically reduced in size. It is really easy to come up with near noiseless images from just about any camera when you reduce it for screen presentations. Full size like Tommy's is the only really way to tell. Now there is nothing wrong with those images, and most would print up pretty nice probably up to 5x7... but above that there are questions. But it seems fewer people actually print, so this could all be a moot issue.
