Took today off work and spent it out birding in some of my favorite locations. I was quite pleased with the variety of birds that I saw. I also went down a remote trail through some Acadian forest and the first thing I did was scare off a big Bald Eagle. Took a few more steps in and nearly got hit in the head by a very large owl. I have no idea what kind it was. Didn't see it at all until it jumped from the branch not 2 feet from my face and flew off into the thick woods. Very disappointed that I didn't see it sitting there.

These are the shots I DID get.

An Osprey hovering over his soon to be dinner.

Hey shirley, great series, even though you missed an eagle and an owl. But that warbler would make up for it for me. :)

Hi Trevor, Thanks. These were taken on the Pigot Trail. That warbler was one for my life list. I was surprised at how friendly they are.

Hey Mitch. Yea, and the owl just missed me too. :) I was very glad to have met the warbler.

Thanks Howzitboy. It's a great birding trail through the wetlands. There were lots of ducks and nesting terns too but they were too far away for decent shots. There were also beaver damns and I could hear a loon in the distance.

Hi Hung,
I hate when that happens. :) It had me spooked for the rest of the walk. Glad you like the little birds. I do too.
