I was walking along this morning (in Southern Queensland) trying to take some pictures of a willie wagtail when I saw these birds playing in the grass. They were only about 2 inches long... Does anyone know what they are?
Thanks

We have one species in Europe (extremely rare in UK) which we commonly call the Fan-tailed Warbler, it's official name is Zitting Cisticola!! Anyway it's similar looking to yours but not identical so I'd hazard a guess at Golden-headed Cisticola?
