Seriously people, the internet will kill you if you aren't careful. The 1D Mk.III has the best AF system of all time on the planet. Go buy it now. If what Rob has said can be believed, there are some minor issues with the 1D Mark III's AF performance, but they don't appear to be major and will by the sounds of it be ironed out with a firmware upgrade of some sorts (if I'm reading between the lines correctly).
