I've read a few times about the date code and I can't find it in my 100-400L

I've bought it on february in Switzerland. Looked in the barrel, near the front and back element  ... nothing. Any hint appreciated

Thanks!

usually back on the black area between the glass and the metal mount, however sometimes they're pretty tricky to find
