I went by Pro Photo Supply this morning and held a 10D for the first time
. It got worse, the sales guy then put a 24-70 L lens on it and let me take a few pictures! Then he pulled the 70-200 2.8L IS off the shelf and let me hold it....stop, stop, I said, I can't take it!
Needless to say, I was impressed. Hearing, reading and viewing these things online just doesn't do them justice.
As I got back to my car (which was several blocks away
) I pulled out my faithful FinePix S602Z, she didn't feel so nice anymore. I walked around a little and snapped a few shots to try and rekindle the flame...I didn't work, all I could think about was the 10D with the L glass.
My S602Z knew something was wrong, I couldn't hide it. I tried to fool her, taking vertical as well as horizontal shots, buildings, flowers, cars, but I was just going through the motions...and she knew it
!
Now, to convince my wife that Mac & Cheese every day really is good for the kids
.
Thanks (I think
) to GPR1 & RFMSports for the Pro Photo Supply recommendation.
WOW! I feel for you!
