Anyone have any tricks to get the Huey to stay put on the monitor during calibration? The suction cups just don't seem to hold very well, even after swabbing the screen with a wipe and I'm a little reluctant to press too hard on my LCD screen to try and get them to stick better. When it lets loose the cable tends to turn it. I've thought about attaching some wire legs to it and just let it rest against the screen which tilts back a bit.

Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.

I cleaned the dust off the suction cups after cleaning the LCD and that seemed to work for me.

Lick the suction cups.

Hey wait a minute you mean I been doing wrong the whole time? Licking the monitor is NOT reccomemnded. I do get a nice tingly sensation from time to time though.

Really, clean the screen prior to testing...

Does it take any ambient reading while on the monitor? I was thinking if I held it in place it may not take a true ambient read due to shading by my hand.

I suppose that would help and swab the screen after. Yuk, spittle on the screen :p

My spittle is like pure spring water. No harm done.

if you can tilt the monitor, tilt it back while calibrating, and let gravity hold it on.

The manufacturers of Huey recommend to NOT stick the device to an LCD screen - as if it does stick tight you could easily damage your monitor getting it off.

Simply hold it in place, the process only takes a minute or so.

No, it measures the room light first, before instructing you to put it on the screen. Besides, the forward looking sensors are in the middle so you can hold it at top and/or bottom without blocking them.

That settles it. I'll just hold my Huey and not lick it.;)
