Help With a good night time lens?

I have an xt, and I would like to shoot, Supermodified's at night. What lens do I need to get, at a good price? and what would the prices be?

whats your budget?Thats the biggest determining factor.

The bets thing cheaply would be the 70-200 f4L. You can get one for under 500. From there we can go up to 400mm, low aperature, lenses with is that will costs you more than your car =D

18-90mm 2.3-3.5, 50mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8L IS, 70-300mm 4-5.6

nifty fifty... you can get one for about $89 then get a tamron 28-75 f2.8 for about $250-300. And your still under 500:cool:


Canon 5D Mark II (x2), 30D, 40D, G10, 70-200 F4 IS (x2), 16-35 f2.8 L, 50mm 1.4, 430 EX II (x2), 580 EX II Tamron 28-75 F2.8 (x2), Tonkia 12-24 F4, 10-18 Fisheye, Full studio with some light :)

your biggest concern may be getting a sturdy tripod.
