Hi

Shooting in Raw has always generated a IMG_number.CR2 file Now suddenly I am getting CRW_number.CRW file and a .THM file when importing to Lightroom. I have not changed anything on the camera. I am importing from two cameras (a 300D and a 350D) but the one thing I have done is installed the new ACR4.1

Could it be the new plugin?

Anyone who has an idea - please let me know.

You have 2 different Canon cameras. Canon changed the extension of the Raw file. Nothing to worry about. The thm file is additional libary file created internally. You can just delete those.

It's not "sudden." The 300D records .crw and the 350D records .cr2. Check your images more closely. To confuse us even further, Canon decided to have the 1D Mark I record in RAW with a .tif extension.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

I just realised that but thanks for confirming it. I thought something had happened after installing the ACR4.1 plugin. Then that couldn't be it either as I'm using imagecapture.app to download from card.

It's been a long weekend and not enough sleep.
