Howdy,

Just a quick question - I'm thinking about buying the telephoto extender as a gift for a friend with an S3. Extender link: http://www.amazon.com …ics&qid=1180901389&sr=8-5 (external link)

As a DSLR owner, I've never really used the S3 and I've read that an additional "adapter ring" of sorts needs to be purchased as well.

Can anybody shed any light on whether or not this is true?

Thanks!
