I just purchased a SD card and I can format the card on the computer but the camera will not format it or even recognize it.

What am I doing wrong or will it only except certain types of SD cards?

Thanks,

Dave

Is the SD card a HC (high capacity) one? any SD over 2GB is HC I had to download new firmware for my MKII(non N) now these cards work fine, although my Laptop and desktop still dont like them so I bought an external card reader. Hope this helps

I've never had a problem with SD cards in my MKIIN. It should recognize any of the available SD cards as far as I know.
