Nothing special, but there are also some pictures that illustrate the methods.
Each picture comes with the name of the pro photographer that took it and technical details (camera, lens, exposure, etc). One of the pictures was taken by a pro photographer from NY, with Canon 1D and ... 75-300 lens.
I was shopping for a telephoto lens not that long ago. I've read 100 of reviews. The best thing I've heard about 75-300 is that it gives a fair performance for the money ($150). I know that it's not the lens or the camera, but the person behind the camera is the one who takes the picture and etc. Still, after all negatives reviews of 75-300 it's hard to believe that a pro will use it constantly to do the job. Or may be the lens is not that bad at all
The only other possibility is that it's actually a hidden advertisement to promote sales of that lens.
Actually, there is another possibility. That picture illustrated the soft-focus technique, so ...
