I was setting up my Pro9500 printer from Canon this weekend and ran across a question which Tech support skirted. With Canon's Fine Art papers clear ICC profiles are provided with the setup materials. With paper such as Canon Photo Plus Glossy the ICC profile to use is more obscure. I found profiles with codes such as series SG1, SG3, SP1, and SP3 which seemed the most likely candidates. A test print with SP1 seemed a good match to the eye. Does any with Canon paper experience recognize which code might go with which paper?

Thanks

It's in the on-line manual installed with the printer drivers.
SP = Photo Paper Plus Glossy ICC Profile. 1 = best Q, 2 = medium Q etc.
SG = Photo Paper Plus Semi-Gloss ICC.
MP = Matte Paper
PR = Photo Paper Pro.
etc etc.

The quality numbers are usually accessible via a 'Custom' quality option or similar.

There'll be no PR profiles for the Pro 9500 - Photo Paper Pro is not supported on this (pigment) printer.
