The weekend turned in to a lot longer and a lot harder than expected. I was going to have a quiet weekend at home coding a few sites. Instead I find myself running around a festival site, being called for photo calls (I now know why I need a flash gun in my bag) and walking around with camera in hand wherever I went.
I am so tired I could honestly cry.
Loads of very interesting bands. One to look out for in particular is Afro Celtic Sound. DANG! they were good. They closed the festival with an extremely energetic show.
I have just done the first run through of 1008 pics from yesterday and boiled them down to little over 350. Now starts the fine tuning and final selection.
The highlight for me was walking out of the media tent late last night, throwing a quick glance over my shoulder out the back entrance of it and staring in to the side of a red painted lorry. I know that shade of red like the back of my hand. Dropped my bags in a chair and walked straight out. Poked my head in to the back of it just to hear my name being shouted from up the ramp on the stage. The lorry came from a company that got me started in the business many many years ago. Last I worked for them was three years ago.
I have got to get back on the road again.
Sat yapping with a guy on the saturday about Canon equipment and he said he just bought a 5D. Asked him which magazine he was there for and he said he drove a truck for one of the bands. Not the red company but a different company. Apparently the business is screaming for tour drivers right now. It is extremely tempting to send a CV around to various companies and see if anyone bites.
Right, better get started on the PPing of the images from the weekend.
