Probably a much cliche shot, but I like it any ways. Please tell me what you think or suggestions. Shot in P-Mode, RAW format with custom white balance.

I like the shot.

The contrast of the dome with the rest of the building seems a bit extreme. Did you try a few shots to compare? Bracketing sometimes will provide a exposure that makes a scene like this bring out a feeling. Another idea would be to try to get more of the water with a reflection of the building. You could also make some adjustments in contrast and brightness that would be beneficial. Another idea would be to put a statue in the foreground.

All in all you have a good picture of the capitol. It would make a good postcard. I think that the thing that I find great about digital photography is that I can take lots of angles and different settings. Rarely do I keep the first shot I take.

Thanks for sharing!

Phuoc Le,

I visited your website and looked at your photos link. I really liked your sunset picture with the bird and ship. You should post this picture in this forum.

I was looking for your e-mail address to send you a darker version of your capitol picture, but I could not find the correct address. If you are interested drop me a note or e-mail and I will send it to you.

Thanks again for your post. I would like to see some more of your efforts.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the advice! I will post that sunset picture in this forum as well. I tried some post-processing in Photoshop to darken the dome, but it made the rest of building darker. I guess I can use an adjustment layer and mask out that part - haven't had the time yet.

In terms of my email address, it's on my website - phuoc@phuoc.com (external link) and should work. If it doesn't, let me know.
