So I just got a Digital Rebel X with the lens kit and here's a few pictures from the band NUMB, Hurley's War and Aggressive Dogs.

I'd like to know your thoughts on them!

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the board

A good idea would be to start reading the stickies. That way you'll have a lot of questions answered already and you will find out he posting rules, which say no wider or higher than 800px.

Also - to help us give pointers and comments, it is good practice to number each image.

Other than that - you have a nice set here.

Some nice shots mate. I really like 2 & 3, but WHOA... a 2816 x 1880 px image... dude, no way... 800px max, please.

And if you can number your images it helps critique alot.

sorry about the size,
I uploaded the wrong #5 to image shack. I've numbered them now, and here's a smaller 5!

#1 i don't know what you wanted to capture there but i would prefer less blend exposure. if you're into that kind of photos (that are, i would say, typical for hc bands, flash + longer blend exposure), try getting close for guitar player/bass player shots and try not to cut-off the head of the guitar cause when the player moves, the head moves more than other parts of the guitar. damn, i should learn that english better. :D
#3 try not cutting of the head of the guitar. and, do you have photoshop? try reducing brightness and adding some contrast, it will look cooler.
#5 i like that shot, really cool facial expression. :D
#2 try that without the flash.
#4 that red reflector is killing me, don't get so close to the player. :D

I guess I'm not very critical today ... itoru has better critique than me ... I like the whole set even though I usually dislike the 'shutter drag' flash style. You've taken some unique perspectives and made your process work. Second curtain flash? Oh, and welcome to POTN.

itoru: About 2 and 4, that whole band's set was in total red spots the whole time! Thanks for the pointers ;)

Dwight: appreciate the comments!

I'll be posting another concert in a few days!
