Wow, this saturday's wedding was fantastic. Aside from being such a gorgeous ceremony, the pace was SO relaxed all day. There was no rushing, many times for breaks, the bride even took time to make me a sandwich (which my wife/assistant quickly took over so she could be more productive) and everyone was sooooo nice. The size was great... about 60 people, only one groomsman and one bridesmaid. Ceremony in her parents' backyard. Cute kids to snap. Just plain awesome.

1. The girls at the makeup counter:

5. This wasn't just ANY backyard wedding...

6. It was 34 degrees and HOT. Poor flower girls behaved well in the blistering heat:

7. And once again went to the Edmonton River Valley for photos. Same park, about 18 kms away from last week. I told you it was HUGE!

8. She was beautiful

7 & 8 are my favorites. 7 I love the light, the angle, and the moment, 8 is just beautiful maybe because you understand the applicable rule and broke it. I'll watch your slide show some time soon.

IMHO you need critique from a professional forum to help you improve, I think, you're beyond most people here.

Great series Lloyd, 6 & 7 look sort of pink to me, especially the skin tones. #8 is fantastic.

It makes our jobs so much easier when you've got great people to work with. I had a similar experience on saturday.

Tim, by this do you mean DWF? What other professional forums are out there?

I agree with Jeff about the skin tones for 6 and 7. They look a bit too pink-redish. Maybe a bit too much saturation? Otherwise, your work is great, once again!

They're both professional wedding photography forums, whereas the POTN wedding section is more of an enthusiast forum with a few professionals in it.

Excellent photos. I really enjoyed your slideshow too. You can tell from their expressions that it was a beautiful relaxed day.

Yeah, I've started a trial account with DWF... I've just resisted for so long because I've never paid a fee to be part of a forum before so it's just kinda turned me off. But I'll check it out.

They were run through a cross process... yeah, the skin tones come out pink as a result. Maybe I'll go back and overexpose their skin so it doesn't come out pink.

The procession one is beautiful.
Great job as usual. I'd love to be a second shooter at one of you weddings sometime.
But the 34 degrees and hot threw me for a loop. Then I realized you're using the metric system.
