I"ve recently been looking at different sites to host my pictures and was referred to SmugMug. I'm in the trial phase and seems to be pretty good. They offer printing services and have some online tutorials and info. Here is a link to one...

http://www.smugmug.com …rgb-versus-adobe-rgb-1998 (external link)

In it it states some info on shooting and printing in AdobeRGB and sRGB. ake a look and see if these guys are accurate or just trying to promote their 3rd party print services.

I've been shooting in RAW AdobeRGB and printing the same (except for JPEG)with my Epson after reading that was the way to go for more color spectrum.

Let me know what you think of this.

I didn't read the link but here is my take on the printing. When I send shots out they are converted to my printer's profile. I don't know exactly how large the gamut is compared to sRGB but I am always satisfied by the prints.

Now, when I print at home it is generaly from LR which is using ProPhotoRGB, a color space with an even larger gamut than AdobeRGB. While the prints are not as good of quality the colors are certainly fine as well.

Some of the new printers coming out are capable of printing the larger gamut color spaces so perhaps a test on one of those would be the best way to tell if there is a difference in printing one color space vs another.

Have a read in the link from my sig. The parts about soft proofing, coverting to profile and rendering intent should be usefull...
Also the part about "sRGB vs. AdobeRGB" and info on some other color spaces might provide some insight to help make an educated choice, instead of one based on heresay ;)
The link on Smugmug is quite accurate actually.
