Yesterday I went to the local drag strip to shoot and they had a band playing so I thought what the heck lets see what happens. The band is called Tickle Me Pink and they're from Fort Collins, CO. I had never shot a band before and I am hooked already. In fact, there's a free music "festival" coming up on Wednesday that Im going to attend just for the opportunity to shoot and get better. Id like to start doing this more and more in between the other things I shoot regularly.

Im really looking for tips/advice on how to improve for Wednesday. This was pretty tough because they were playing in front of a BRIGHT white building and it was wicked bright, but all in all im happy and I had fun.

Thanks alot! The daylight was a bit of a challenge, but i guess it let me focus a little more without being worried about the lighting and exposure. The event im going to tomorrow is going to be during the day carrying into the night so ill have an opportunity to shoot both.

#3 and #7 are my favs for technical quality and simple subject composition... The daylight really works in your favor here... Indoor or low light night pics are a different world compared to these... Let's see what you return with...

These are really nice. I agree with James about daylight pictures. They can be a bit boring. However - your compositions work really well so these are far from boring. Well done you.

Pretty nice considering the lighting.
On #2, 4, 5 and 7, I don't like the expression however..
