Wow! Thank you, James. Really appreciated.

4 needed a bit of PP. The original doesn't look anything like it colorwise - to be honest.

Cheers!

Nice set She

I really like the 1st one. I like the contrast and the way half the face is in shadow, it makes a really nice effect. Sort of, mysterious, which im assuming from the look of the performers and the sort of music associated with them usually, fits right in.

Well done.

Excellent shots!

Who were the performers?

1-4 Anouschka Shankar - daughter of Ravi Shankar and half sister to Norah Jones.

5-6 Rodrigo y Garbriela awesome accoustic rock/metal duo with heavy latin influences.

7-8 Fun Lovin' Criminals (who I kept referring to as Fine Young Cannibals - a compltely different band)

They are on my "see at all costs" list. Thankfully not a major clash (always a problem at Glasto) and on my favourite stage too (Jazzworld) :D

Saw them in Manchester last year - recommend them to anyone to catch them live - and get near the front even if you're not taking photos!

I spent most of last night trawling youtube and myspace for afro celtic sound and RodGab. When listening to Diablo Rojo I realised I've heard that before in an advert but for the life of me I can't figure out which one it was.

If anyone knows - please enlighten me.

Okay, here it goes:
Composition on #1 is very nice. Too bad they are tuning, not playing.
#2: Nice capture. Crop off a bit at the bottom.
#3: Nice. I'ld crop top, bottom and right though.
#4: Nice. I'ld crop left and top to get a bit closer portrait. Focus looks so-so, but acceptable.
#5: Again, I'ld crop closer.
#6: Fun.
#7&8 don't work for me..
