Hi guys i have received the following message:

"dear sir!

Sorry for the offtopic. We are a new magazine devoted to the east. We would like to use your picture of your friend in tatoos in pur magazine. Can you give us permission to do so?

My email is asucka@gmail.com (external link)

Thank you in advance"

My problem is that I haven't sold any of my pictures and I am in process of becoming a freelance, my website is being set up and it will be finished soon, and obviously I don't have any idea about the price I could charge for my pics.

Here you can see the pictures, I do not know which picture in particular the message is refering to.

Heres what you reply:

I would be happy to discuss the licensing of the refered images to your magazine. Please call me at xxx-xxx-xxxx at your convenience so we can dicuss your needs blah blah blah.

Before you do this, do your homework/research on licencing & pricing. There are a multitude of posts on this site about this.

Respond that you need to mail them a contract, then ask for the address, the name of the person who would sign it, their business title and the phone number.

Look all of that up on the web, then decide.

And, the wiz and elder are probably right at the end of the day. Red Herring.

I think, judging by the email, that it's either a blank hoax (nothing that goes nowhere) or there was atrojan buried in the email text and all you had to do was open the email. I'm guessing no right minded person would reply to that email and any scammer would know that so that leaves either just something to be funny or you now have a trojan/backdoor/keylogger.

Do a virus scan and don't reply to that email address.
