Anyone with experience with this art pad want to chirp in? Which of these pads are the best? What should I bare in mind while getting ready to buy one and looking round? Thanks in advance!
I'm addicted to my Wacom Intuous3 4x5!
Since you're using a laptop, I would reccommend something of a similar size for portability. I have used the same tablet with the same drivers on both a PC & Mac (laptop & desktop), so whatever platform you use it will be compatable. My tablet has the wire to the USB, but I recently met a Production Studio Designer with a wireless Wacom and I'm jealous. That cord gets annoying! Expecially when it's in the briefcase and tangling about.
I chose the Intuous 3 because it's level of sensitivity. 1024 pressure levels of control.
If I had to choose with the tablet I currently have and one that's cordless; I would go cordless all the way. Just bring extra batteries and you'll be fine.
If you're set on getting a monster sized tablet, be ready for extra long brush strokes that could get tiresome as time wears on.
Also, I see that the same tablet is $229 at Wacom.com; I purchased mine about a year ago for $199 at Circuit City. They may still have that price?
