Now that you've all used your keyborads to say stupidities such as go kiwis you'll learn that we'll keep the cup in Switzerland. NZ is waaaayyyy to far away for anyone to go see the cup. But I have to agree with you, it would have been much better on a lake in Switzerland. I hope they'll do it for the next one

As a conclusion:

Iv been awaiting your reply.

Of course we all know that the sorts of people who really, really like to go and see the Americas cup all have thier own large ocean going pleasure boats. They generaly hire a crew to sail the boat to what ever country they feel like visiting and fly there to meet up with it.
When the Americas Cup is on, they of course head to what ever country is hosting it.
Of course its a bit difficult when that country is hosting the event in a lake............. :p

So long and thanks for all the flash

hmm.. certainly not a newb.. and i certainly know that the cup was not defended by the nyyc every time. i do seem to recall a few dennis conner wins on the west coast.

even canada has a rich cup history, being the challenger twice. i'd love it if we could get some investment going and mount another canadian challenge. i've already got the majority of the team selected.

Canon Rebel 300D - EP-EX15 - BG-E1 - EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 - EF 28-135 1:3.5-5.6 IS USM - EF 35-80mm 1:4-5.6 - EF 50mm 1.8 MKII - EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 USM - Speedlite 550EX - 420EX w/off shoe cord 2 - opus monopod - opus umbrella kit - some filters - a few cheapie tripods - too many camera bags
with no experience, and now no money!

not at all. canada has some incredible sailing talent. we just don't have the financial backing to use said talent.

i sail with a 2 time olympic medallist, who is now a pro tp 52 racer, a number of pro farr 40 racers, several north american champions (including myself), and a slew of sailors that i learn a lot from every single day.

we need cash to mount a challenge! if i win the lottery tomorrow i will seed a syndicate!
