Thanks Byron. A brief PP explanation can be found here, just scroll down to post #9. Lately I have been adding layer masks and blending modes to my workflow and it is a bit complicated to explain, but I will share it when refine the flow.

The pano shot is composed of 4 RAW files stitched together by Photomerge in Photoshop CS. The grey color was enhanced through burning, and it helped that the wall was a bit grey to begin with and it was shot during a rainy day. Thanks for looking!

The tighter image is nice but the pano is outstanding.

Stephen, Brad, thanks! Stephen I like eating there too, more so for the ambience. For those who haven't been there, it is an an old diner that has the configuration of a railroad apartment. It is long from end to end, but very narrow, just like a train car. You can sit on a barstool by the counter, or at narrow table by the windows. Just a great place to sit, drink coffee, eat, and watch the people pass by, or be taken pictures of by a loony photographer :)

Next time I'm there I have to do a Diner series. There is one place I went to that is near a big electronics store up Lexington Ave somewhere and it was super atmostpheric in every way. I really wish I had my gear that time. Man, I am itchin' to do that project ... Maybe in Jan/Feb when it is cheap to fly and stay :-)

Dave, diners and restaurants are favorite subjects of mine. Full of character, architecture and people interacting, the diffused glow of the indoor lights permeating outside... they make for great photos. A big plus is that the people inside aren't likely to chase you if you take their photo. If ever they do, you're long gone :)

Hit me up when you're here! It would be great to shoot the streets together.
