Apart from the killer Euro (don't even get me started on our little layover in Heathrow -- I can't believe how much I spent on a bad lunch), I had a great time. My 2nd visit (1st in 2002). Would just like to share a few. Thanks for looking

.. I didn't spend Euros in Heathrow. Guess my original comment came out wrong. I was just trying to say.. the Euro is bad enough. The amount of money I spent (in Pounds) in Heathrow for a bad lunch was even worse. But hey.. I wasn't sitting at work!

Thanks for the comments.

Everyone seems to love gargoyles. Including myself.

I feel your pain on the Euro and Pound. Both are at historic highs against the US Dollar, making travel for US residents to Europe very expensive. I am spending 3 1/2 weeks in Ireland/Scotland and it is costing me a pretty penny.

Good pics. I too like the pictures of the gargoyles

Agreed, both on the ridculous price:quality ratio of all food in LHR (you call this a bagel???) and the not sitting at work :D

Those are great gargoyles shots.

I need to go back and take some of those shots.

Great shots... just came back from both London and Paris two weeks ago, and have a ton of photos to process. I envy you for the gargoyle shots. We climbed to the top and I had about 40 different exposures with similar subjects, only to have my CF card die 2 hours later. :( So no gargoyles for me.

Great shots, brings back fond memories. I've been to Paris three times in seven years. Montmarte and Galleries LaFayette both offered great views of the city and architecture. Thanks for sharing.

Oh that's a shame. I would have gone back. The gargoyles were pretty much the (photo) highlight of my trip. What kind of card was it?

The card was a 4Gig Ritek... It is completely unrecoverable, I have tried just about every software tool under the sun. I have 2 other Ritek cards that performed flawlessly. We did go back, but not enough time to get to the top. In retrospect, Paris presents a great photo opportunity on just about every corner, and I do plan to go back in the future. In the mean time, I can live vicariously through your wonderful captures. :)
