About 6 months :) ;)

Actually shot my first wedding (and it was for money) in 1993, I was 21 at the time. However been playing around with a camera since I was 10. Self taught completely in all aspects but I learn everyday. Thats the best part about this artform it is never ending learning process with no boundaries. The only limit I have found are the ones you place on yourself.

As for Photoshop about 5 years of tinkering and playing, still learning everyday. I believe in sharing all my knowledge and in return I get so much more in the way of personal growth and education.

HEHEHEHE

You posted before I could finish my post

Yes I am kidding I have been at this for a while. However Passion and Drive with the amount of information out there today could cut down what took me 10 years to learn to 1 without any problems. There are some amazing talented and very giving people out there but also some really ego driven people which only think of themselves.

dorks ::p totally kidding! I'm a huge fan of both of you guys! Oh, wait- you have that in common :)

I got my first camera last Feb... took it upon myself to read all the books at the library- including ones on film- and tortured my poor children until they ran away from me...then a friend of a friend needed some bridals, was broke and I said sure why not! LOVED IT! And loved the pics :) Did her wedding :) (GASP* before I came to POTN, armed with a rebel xt, kit lens and a 50 mm) She expected nothing- but they really turned out great...and honestly, its still one of my favorite weddings :)

and voila' here I am today with over a dozen weddings under my belt, probably close to 200 different sittings and sold over 5,000 Christmas cards last year :)

Cool thread!
