Hey,
Just got back from my first promo shoot. Was also my first paid shoot. :)

They were a great bunch of guys and really friendly.
Check out their myspace;

Photos taken using either 50mm 1.4 or 17-55 2.8 on my Canon 400D

They are all unedited (besides resize, border and watermark)

Nos 1 & 4 would have to be my favourites.

They are a tad dark for me. I love the atmposphere in them, just need a little more pop IMO.

#2 & #4 are cropped a little tight for me.

They could all do with a little curves/levels treatment IMO, as they are a little dark for me.

Nice work there though... the content is there, just a little PP will make these real winners.

Well done.

Rob

I like 1, 2 and 4 for look. The green shirt makes one member of the band stand out though. If he is the leader of the group, great. If not, he looks like it with those photos so beware of bruised egos. As a group shot, 2 works the best. 4 has the rest of the band a bit more in focus.

Nice job.

I like #2 best. #1 and 4 are okay, but the facial expression from the right and left guy respectively are so-so.
#3 doesn't work for me, and is too dark. (In the others it's a matter of taste: I would've made them a bit lighter, but they're not *too* dark)

I always have trouble with Promo shots ... I have no clue how to get edginess or unexpected factor that folks seem to want. I think they are kinda dark but that taste. Good work.
