Being new to photoshop I find I use only a small range of PP because I only know a limited amount. I figure most here know more than me but do you follow a general path like I do now and stick to a similar method each time?

As far as sticking to a similar methed, I don't. Each photo is different thus processed different. Welcome to the forum! You will learn tons here. "Whatever you can do to avoid Photoshop is worth it"

So it starts off with a desaturating, then levels adjustments, add a noise filter, then a USM filter to make the noise pop. The if needed Ill go over the highlights with a soft dodge.

I just had a little dabble in colour. freebird Goldmember 1,348 posts Likes: 1 Joined Nov 2006 Location: Iowa More info | One suggestion.....I always make a copy of the original. Then work on that in PP. Takes awhile to learn Photoshop. Hang in there practice, practice practice.
