Since I'm not that technically savvy, this site is going to remain very, very minimalist. I created the site using a free HTML editor called Nvu. The gallery was created using photoshop's web gallery creator, which I then modified slightly.

It's going to take me a while to get a robust gallery on the site, but I posted some favorite vacation pics for now.

Feel free to offer any CC on the photography or any ideas for the site itself. Remember, though, I'm not into flashy stuff for the site.

Enjoy!

Added a few shots from the weekend:

I'm undecided what to do with the gallery. I made a custom little table for the "recent shots" and used PS 7.0 for the "vacation" ones. Are the thumbs too small? Maybe I need to create seperate pages for each topic and have the photography.html page just a links page to those seperate pages...

Too simple. Try doing some thing more.

#include <iostream>
int main() {
std::cout << "POTN is the best." << std::endl;
return 0; }

Alright, I cleaned up the gallery a bit. Again, I'm not emphasizing the site itself, but concentrating on the content and photography.

I don't have everything up yet, but here is a preview:

I just checked out your gallery. Very nice work! It's kinda funny, though, I have some VERY similar shots on my hard drive (Holy Hill, Art Museum). I'm going to be shooting down at Brady Street this weekend with a photographer friend. I'll just be tagging along as a 2nd shooter.

Very cool. Know of any phot clubs in the area? Someone should get a group toghether here in this fine city that does a day trip every week or something. I find I dont get out to shoot enough unless i have some company, and the wife has a short attention span.

I'm in exactly the same boat!! :lol:

Maybe we should organize a Milwaukee outing? We could hit 2-3 locations in a day, go out to lunch, etc. Hmmm....

I think that would be pretty sweet. I know quite a few people at Mike Crivellos in Brookfield, I am sure they would help get a crew together. If nothing else i am sure they would pass on the word to other photogs and post a signup sheet. I will have to ask them the next time I am in. Maybe something already exists like that...
