My MK3 manual is at home. But it states in the book with the 70-200 f2.8 lens use center focus ONLY or miss focus/focus erroring will occur.

Hmmm, I missed that. I had the issue today and was asking for a resolution in another thread. Hope you aren't pulling my leg. :)

Ahh, I just saw the follow-up where this is with an extender.

I think you should email this to Canon, it is a great idea, and so simple...to you or me... Altho I doubt it will be implemented as they won't be keen on admitting something they made has any fault. but it certainly wouldn't hurt to try, you just never know.

Done. Thanks.

I filled out one of their survey deals and laid the suggestion out fully, as well as how bad Canon looks on this... what should be a minor issue... that Canon has turned into a nightmare of a PR issue for themselves. Should be interesting to see if they respond at all to me.

mine hasn't popped off yet, but maybe we should do a group order for POTN (maybe even embed the letters potn in gold on it!) so we don't all pay the overpriced shipping.

pisses me off we gave them 4500 bones for a camera and they still rip us off on shipping. I can get things like this on ebay shipped for less than a dollar...hasn't canon heard of usps priority mail?

Superglue is too permanent. I was thinking a big piece of tape around the camera body.

I got mine replaced the day after it fell off. My Canon Service Center will now order more and stock them. I got 3 of them just in case.

I am pretty convicned that Canon will redesign that little 10 cent plastic screw that kill the $4500 Mark III's wheather resistance...

Just joking Frank, but yea when I get my replacement, I'm going to tape it or use plumbing tape or something.

I was joking as well. So much is lost in 2D world chats.

That's it, I'm purchasing a $1000 WFT-E2 to cover the extension system terminal.
