Here is my second using RAW rather than JPG. After my first two concerts, I started learning what I could, as fast as I could. And since this is RAW, I can't play the, "I only have JPG so don't be too harsh card."

This was a very fun show to attend and take pictures at. It was spread over 2 nights. The concept was to honor two of the most loved Grateful Dead albums. The second, shown here, was a recreation of American Beauty.

I hope to get some feedback and critique on this and the night 1 thread. I am finding all of your comments to be quite helpful. Thank you.

Some very nice images.
Couple of small points:
- Pity about the guy in the BG in #1.
- *Maybe* crop a bit off bottom and right (not sure)
- #3: Mic is in the way.
- #4: nice
- #5: Sheet music holder is in the way. I think I'd crop this one portrait.
- #6: Some people could be lightened a bit
- #7: Just a bit too much motion for me.

Does that Rebel only go to ISO 400? Rene will "Pity" you into submission ... unless they are for documentary/photojournalistic purposes (as my images are) he'll urge you to do a bit of cloning which will make significantly more artistic images and is well worth the effort. I agree about #7 so there must have been something compelling about it for you.

No, the Rebel goes higher. ;)

Photojouranlistic work is what I have been doing recently. Magazine mostly. The first shows were done at 1600, then I backed off to 400, now trying a mix. I'm still getting a feel for what can and can't be done at the various settings. I'm a firm believer of working with what you have until you know it well enough to try something new.

Yeah, there is something about # 7 that I like...can't put my finger on it completely...the bullet mic on the left, the look on his face....
