Have seen them before, great show. First time taking pics at an outdoor nighttime event. Everyone was using flash on their PnS cameras, and the band did,t seem to mind but it was a distraction.

Your C&C is greatly appreciated!

I like the drummer shot. Nice light, nice 'look'
Looks like on the first image the guitar is in focus rather then the face. It would also benefit from a crop IMO.

When you finally move up to a newer body and faster lenses I think your style will really come through ... I like the drummer, too.

Thanks Rene. I was going to crop the guitarist a little closer, but didn't want to lose any of the guitar. They had a strobe firing on the drummer, and I just fired off a burst and lucked out with the light.

Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it.

Thanks Dwight. Your input is very much appreciated and valued. I was going to wait until a 30D successor came out to upgrade, but since the 1D MarkIII came out, there are quite a few 1D MarkII's on the market. I had a chance to to pick up a Sigma 28 - 70mm f/2.8 for $225 last week and passed (Arghhhhh).

In any case I am going to show your post to my wife. She thinks I am crazy with what I have amassed already. Thanks again for your input and encouragement.

Two more while I am at it.

BUT, But, but, she's right! But then, ALL wives secretly know that their husbands (and likely all men) are crazy and should be putting all their toy money into shoes and accessories! ;) I vote for the used 1DMIIN and 50mm f/1.4 and 85mm f/1.8 for you. But buy your better half some flowers and candy before you share the 'good news' with her.

If she is still resistant you can show her my gear list and request parity.

Bass player shot is nice as well.
In the guitar player shot, the lights in the background (and their flare) is distracting. Get that filter off ;)
