It would also benefit from a crop IMO. Thanks Rene. I was going to crop the guitarist a little closer, but didn't want to lose any of the guitar. They had a strobe firing on the drummer, and I just fired off a burst and lucked out with the light.

I was going to wait until a 30D successor came out to upgrade, but since the 1D MarkIII came out, there are quite a few 1D MarkII's on the market. I vote for the used 1DMIIN and 50mm f/1.4 and 85mm f/1.8 for you. But buy your better half some flowers and candy before you share the 'good news' with her.
