Digital Rebel And 10D Prices Coming Down

I was just perusing the B&H web site, and they have cut the price of the 10D body to $1379, and the Drebel with the kit lens to $899. The Drebel had been reduced some in the last couple weeks, but this is $100 off the original price. Could be that B&H (as well as Canon) is clearing the shelves for an announcement?

At the Drebel price, you could get the kit and a 75-300 non-IS zoom for less than the D70 kit. Sounds good for someone getting started...

Even in expensive Denmark the price of 300D has dropped since I bought it. I paid DKK 9.900 ($1597) and today it "only" cost DKK 8.900 ($1435)

Nikon did do a serious blow to Canon with the D70...............Now Canon has to lower the prices to stay in the competition.

Yes, Denmark, where sales tax is... 25% !!! Yes, you read that right, twenty five percent, it's not a typo. Here in the Netherlands it's 19%, which is also a lot.

And here in Pennsylvania it's a whopping 6%!!! I am tired of paying taxes!!

Come to Oregon, There is 0% sales tax! Oh yeah, they do charge you a 9% state income tax though . In the state of Washington the sales tax is almost 9%, so Pennsylvania seems pretty reasonable to me.

Ja, the VAT here in England is 17.5%; in Canada it varies and is usually around 14-17% between GST/PST (7-9% each).

You forgot, there is Alaska in the US which has no income tax or sales Tax. I think Nevada is like that too.
