Ok, I just installed Photoshop CS3 and everytime I make a print it goes back to the default settings. It didn't do this in CS2 and this is a major pain when doing a lot of printing. If I want to print 20 different 4x6s I have to change the page size, the page layout, the paper quality, etc. 20 different times and it's making me bang my head against the keyboard (hence the headache).

Does anyone know:
(1) If I can change this behavior and how?
(2) How I can change the printer defaults (Canon i9900)?

I have the same problem--using an Epson R2400.

As long as I have a given image open, the settings stay the same. But if I open a new image, I have to choose the R2400 (it's not my default printer), then set the properties again.

One way I get around when I have a lot of printing to do it is to go to Printers (I'm using PC with Vista Business), select the R2400 as the default; and then select the properties I want as default (paper size, paper type, etc).

I have the same problem, and will try setting the printer as the default when I am using it. Thanks for bringing this up and thanks for the advice on how to settle it.

Regards, Rich
