If the later, have you checked to see if the battery is charged after the green has illuminated. Tony

The only conclusion I can draw is that the battery is near the end of its life. Your conclusion sounds about right to me. Grab a new Sterlingtek battery, they are so cheap and they work very very well. I have one. "Ill show you."-John Hammond

I had two batteries that would hold practically no charge - put them in a charger and after a few minutes the charger would start flashing red/green. I also tried another charger to see if there was something defective with the charger - nope - same result. Neither battery would hold much charge even after an overnight charge. The batteries were about 8 months old. Both batteries were the generic 3rd party type and both from Sterlingtek. I fired off an email to them, they informed me that the batteries were defective and that I should return them. Couple of weeks later (shipping to Canada) I get a package in the email with two brand new batteries. No ifs or buts, just good old fashioned customer service. Since I'm paranoid about running out of juice I've since ordered another two...both from Sterlingtek - their reputation is well deserved. Well I'm still having the issue, and I dunno what I was thinking when I did this thread, but now that I saw your thread, I think I'll have to give Sterlingtek an email also. Thanks for that. After reading this thread that the battery is faulty, I have opened it, found that one of three (the "-") wires has released from battery's PCB. I have just soldered it back and simply cosed it. And it seems to be working fine now.
