This is my first attempt at shooting flowers, or anything for that matter. Still learning and i would appreciate some C&C. Both shots are taken with 300D and 85mm 1.8.

I think it is probably the angle at which you took the shot. It kind of stymied me trying to figure out where the front would be. The Lily looks better to me. The color on both look very saturated. Is that natural or did you enhance in post-processing? If PP, you might want to back off a bit. "the earth has music for those who listen."
