I love to try and get shots of birds in flight, and the Mourning Dove has always been an extremely challenging target for me. Out of 100 shots, I'm lucky to get one keeper. Here's a few recent ones:

Nice shots, I am just wondering , if the new mkIII is what helps make the difference, or this was just that right oppertunity or both. rw

Great series Mike. I have 3 doves here and I know how hard it is to get them in flight. I don't have a single keeper yet. :)

As much as I hate to admit it, I still do better with my 30D. I guess it's just going to take some time getting used to.

The last one is a notch above the others IMO. Good wing/tail spreads and good sharpness.
