hummmm...I think this would work better in a B/W.
The front of the tracks is blowen out so I would do an underexposure to bring the detail of the track out...or do it on a cloudy day so the sun isnt shining on the tracks..and you can control it abit more. Focus just a bit farther down the track maybe as well.

oh and use a towel to cover the track....thats to save the shirt... ;)

Interesting perspective. Although it is almost transportation, but perhaps not.

Yeah, good location but just too close to the white hot rail for me. But this is art, what do I know...

Pretty cool photo, but I sorta wish you had a larger depth of focus, like so I could be able to see further. If you can try that next time, it would make this photo a ton better!

I like the angle alot too, very low!

It might be worth noting that a train coasting downgrade can be almost on top of you before you hear it. That signal isn't green for looks...

The train had just gone by, and ther was about a mile of view to see if another train was coming. Thankyou for the concern though.

I don't. There's some nice colour in this shot and I cannot see how B/W would add to it.
I agree with you on the exposure however.

Good idea on the shot. Pull up the view a bit and give me more of the trees. Straighten out the horizon.

I really like the photo. I love trains/tracks... and Shout should work on your shirt... that, or Lestoil;)

I like the perspective....I'm a "noob" also and have been shooting some similar shots. One suggestion would be to capture the engine coming at you in the same type of shot - also just out of focus.
