Hi all!

I'm kinda new to RAW conversion and to blending images together.

Here are two examples of my recent attemps, a mono conversion and a high contrast colour one. I am pleased with the colour one but the mono conversion seems a bit dramatic. I also had difficulty blending on the left hand side of the image and think that it is obvious where the blends meet.

Criticism on both images are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Andy

first looks great, second one is a bit flat. up the contrast via curves, levels or what ever u like and i think it will look great too.
i see just a bit of a halo on the left by top of fence and right same fence. just zoom in and use smaller brush to get rid of it.

Thanks for the tips howzitboy. Bit fiddley using a smaller brush. Suppose I better get a mouse rather than using my touchpad! :-)

I like your cricket picture but, as you allow editing, I've straightened it and cropped the top and bottom to give your picture more of a panoramic look. I left the dramatic sky, as I assume you feel that's a key part of the image.

Here is an attempt to blend 2 versions of the second pic using the dpp++ plugin. But the result could be certainly better if you had the raw file...
