Can anyone help me out, i shot an equestrian event today but would like to print contact sheets at the show that include the image file numbers beneath the images. I realise i can do this with the basic windows software but they are way too small [35 on a page] I would like to be able to print the sheets with slightly larger images, maybe 10 or 15 on a page with the numbers beneath, can anyone tell me how or a program that i can do this with???

Would much appreciate if someone can help me this.

Many thanks

Steve

I don't know. I only have PSE2,3,4 and PS 7. If there's a photo organizer in 5, select the images you want to print and then go to File> Print Multiple Photos. It should give you options on how many images per page. This is the way I've done proofing in the past. :)

You can certianly do this with Photoshop CS2. Places like www.whcc.com (external link) will also do it as a product they offer.

Mpix does, too, but I print my own just for the sake of convenience. :)

I am not positive on Elements, but as far back as CS, you can go to file>automate>contact sheet. It gives you the option to select paper size, filenames, and # of columns and rows.

I use ACDSee - you can choose exactly how many columns/rows and thus the size & how many per page of thumbnails to print, in fact I use the contact sheet function to print out normal pics I just selct 1 column & 2 rows to get 2 pics per A4 page, which suits me.

Yep. That's what I've used before. Pretty simple, too.

Thanks everyone - i use both cs2 and elements 5 but never thought to check if that was an option there!! I never actually use the elements or cs2 to orgaize my photos so never really paid much attention to what other stuff i can 'actually' do with it.... might be time to start delving a bit deeper into what else these programs can do for me.....

Thanks again

Steve
