I've been trying to take more experimental shots by using shutter and aperture in non conventional ways. I got this shot today I really liked. This is straight from the camera without any PP. What do you think?

I agree. Too overblown for my tastes.

Yeah, overexposing doesn't really make a photo abstract.

Sorry.

Well, the abstract quality isn't what I was going for. My concept is simply to take what's typically a photographic mistake and over compensate in the other direction for it to balance and a create a different feel to the photo altogether. Something like a flash in memory.

While I did intentionally blow out the majority of this photo I compensated for certain things to still try to get an image of the bridge without a loss of detail, object color, or sharpness.

It would be interesting to me if it weren't for the bad lens flare. I can actually see it being a very interesting piece were it printed out large (16x20 or larger) and the lens flare gotten rid of.

If it wasnt for that top left SUPER overblown corner i think it is pretty cool. I like the look of it.

And they're all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same.

yeah the top corner was where the sun was. Being on the underside of the scaffolding I didn't really have a lot of room to get it out of the shot.

Thanks for the comments. Like I said before, I'm just trying to experiment and try some different things to see what kinds of different images I can come up with
