I used AI Focus (best of both worlds, i think. it's one shot until something moves, then switches to servo, yeah?) with the CF * focus button thing (CF4-1), which i'm steadily becoming more sold on, to shoot a dance eisteddfodd thingy.


EOS 400D (Drebel XTi), 18-55 EF-S, 50mm f/1.8 II, 50mm f/1.4, 75-300mm EF III, BG-E3, 580EXII, Slingshot 200AW, Transcend 4Gb.

In the last 16,000+ shots it's been "one shot" for me...

I need/want the control for immediate commitment ...

I guess I should try "AI Focus" and AI Servo" just to know what I'd possibly be missing...

EDIT: The only focusing problem I've had so far, is with the switch on the lens... Inadvertently, I've had it accidentally move to MF while removing the lens from a case... I then took some group shots only to realize the accidental re-set from AF...
