Hi

all right....here's the proverbial lamb to the slaughter, being the first pic that I post in Critique (and the first shot i shared, for that matter...)

This is a shot of the Central Fire Station of Singapore, taken from across the street. I didn't have my tripod with me at that time, but I do have a small mini table tripod which I have to steady with my hands during the 3.2 second exposure to keep the camera stable. Turns out that this perspective works pretty well (i think)...

Very interesting building.

Did you use a wide angle lense? I noticed that there is some slight barreling of the street line, or maybe that is how it is.

My opinion of this photo is that it is a good capture, lighting, exposure and quality. I would be happy to have this in my picture album if I ever was able to go to Singapore.:) I would be able to tell a story about the building, as I am sure that you can, that would make the photo special.

Although it seems technically good to me, it does not evoke any emotion. If there were more passing car streaks it would show how this was in a busy area. Maybe another perspective would convey how big the building is. There are others in this forum who are masters of photo composition, which I am a novice. They have given me simalar advice, maybe they would add on some more suggestions.

The great thing about digital in this regard is that you can take lots of perspectives and exposures and just erase the bad or not so good ones.

Please post more pictures for us to look at.
