Pretty stoked that I finally get to post in here. Just got my 1D3 via FedEx today (thanks again to mritchy here at POTN) and I'm already having a blast just playing around in the office. Anyway's, it's not a duck but my trusty mini Beagle will have to do.

1D3, ISO 6400, 24-105 f4L IS at 105 mm, 1/25s, Converted and PP'd in LR3. This looks as good as 1600 out of my 40D. Flippin crazy!!!

There are a number of comparisons on here about that very subject (and a lot of them end in heated debate), but I think they're honestly pretty darned close to one another. I almost went with the 7D but decided I really wanted the smaller file sizes, bullet proof build, and weather resistance of the 1D3. I was so close to the pulling the trigger on the 7D but I'm positive I made the right decision in going for the 1D3 instead. I'm already amazed and I haven't even left the house with it yet :)
