Perfect separation from the black background.

Further analyisis though prompts me to ask: Were you going for a grey background in #1 or white?

It was a white background in #1, but it was way underexposed.... the background.... i just used 1 light for the shots.... I took these myself... self portrait... for the second shot, i held a light reflector at my waist. I think these are too hot for my liking though... but i was all alone and wanted to test my new Einstein.... :-)
