Are you 1D3 owners just better at post-processing? The shots in this thread are really convincing...
PP is at least 50% if not more in making an image appealing - assuming exposure, composition, and lighting is flattering. IMO.

IMO. That's a considerable amount of PP. I'm trying to step my game up with post, but it's slow going. Honestly, the exposure, composition, and lighting is a work in progress as well. Indeed, I'm my own worst critic. I guess that's why I don't have a lot of shots posted on this forum. The presence of the observer changes the nature of the observed...

Nice photos, but that is so wrong, on SO MANY LEVELS. Photographers do it in 1/1,000th of a second...but the memory lasts forever!

Company I work for used to fly 14 of these and you never knew from minuted to minute if they would break or not. Maintenance hogs they are! say_cheese wrote in post #13520988 Very nice shot, panning and prop blur are very good. Didn't know someone was still operating a DC6. The DC-6 is very much still a workhorse in the state of Alaska. It is suited very well for this state, except for the coldest of days, and continues to get the job done. 1Ds MkIII - 1D MkIII & several lenses with red rings.
