I just bought a used 1D Mark iii and am waiting for its delivery - or rather, the delivery guy came when I was out. Don't you just hate that? I now have to wait until tomorrow morning - but I still get it before Christmas! Wild Birds of Europe

I use the Extreme in my Mark IV without any problems. BH has them on sale at nearly 50% off. 16GB for around $49 and 8GB for around $29.

Right, will buy one of the new Extreme cards then. Thanks! Wild Birds of Europe

Totally unexpected as the note said 'tomorrow morning'. What a beast this thing is! It's huge and dwarfs the 40D!! I will take it out this weekend for a good spin, but a few test shots indoor, with ambient light already proved to me that there is no comparison with the 40D in terms of noise control at high iso. It's remarkably clean, even at 3200 iso. So I'm impressed already. Wild Birds of Europe
