is it just me or does everyone ask you "whoa, how many megapixels is that thing!?" and then when you say 10, they just don't understand?

I find myself explaining why MP isn't the end all be all of a good photo a lot more these days.

Would the Flipside 400 be too big for a 1d, 24-70, 70-200, and flash?

I have a Flipside 400 and I regularly pack....

- any two of 7D, 5D2 or 1D3,
- 70-200/2.8L IS or 100-400,
- any two of 16-35, 24-70, 135/2, 100L macro,
- 2 X 580EX and extra batteries,
- Hoods for all lenses.

That lot all fits within the main compartment, leaving the outer compartment and two side pouches for more stuff. I have other bags for times when I need to carry less, but if I could only keep one bag it would be the Flipside. It's handy to have room for rain jackets, food and drink, and other paraphernalia like filters, flash triggers, remote releases, flash meter etc. etc.. I'd rather have room to spare than insufficient. There is no obligation to fill every cubic inch on every trip. :D

My 1DMKIII with good light is really amazing for outdoor live portraits  with 85L ..
I am waiting for a 5Dx, but actually it's a real good value for a 1200$ dslr

QUOTED IMAGE

Nice one, Jay. You nailed that one! Drat about losing the tail though.

The 500 can be its own worst enemy and your best friend at the same time.

thanks for the info. You have some nice gears. Does your bag have a strap for tripods?
