Lawdog

MKIV any day and twice on sundays. Ive had all 3. Loved the 1D111 but the MKIV puts it to bed at both low and high ISO capabilities......Best camera I have ever used. You couldnt pry it from my cold dead hands. Awesome camera.

I need to go to some races.......

Mike, I don't know if I'll get the I'V anytime soon. I just picked up the 5d3. Wicked body.

I still take the 1d3 to ca shows and I just shot show coverage and two under constructions this past weekend. I shot 5d3 Saturday. The 1d3 was Sunday.....I just loves the way 1d3 shots look. Canon did something right with the 1d3.

I got a sheet from canon with mine when I bought it showing the fix had been done. I believe, but can't remember (camera out in rental) they put couple dabs of paint in battery compartment to show its been done.

Here's a thread on it

Shoot, shoot, and shoot......:)

Try calling Canon to see if they even do it for free still. Not sure if they keep records of repair, but they might.
